Randy Blasquez has a style that reflects the lineage of Russian
Impressionism, from the great master Ilya Ripen to Sergei Bongart.
Initially Randy was influenced by her studies with artist and
teacher, Anita Wolff, who was a student of the colorful Russian
Impressionist, Sergei Bongart. This lead her to strive to learn more
about this style and she found and studied with French born plein
air artist Brigitte Curt, then with Ovanes Berberian. Berberian had
also apprenticed under the tutelage of Sergei Bongart. Bongart was a
graduate of the Russian Academy of Arts in Kiev who painted and
studied with Peter Kotov whom himself was a student of the famous
master Ilya Ripen. Randy is most often recognized for her California Landscapes, but she also enjoys painting florals, and most recently is painting memories from her recent trip to France. This artist is a teacher herself at the School of Light and Color in Fair Oaks, California.Today she finds that she loves teaching as much as painting itself.
