The creative process is recognized as a lonely, solitary one, and to find a creative partner can be as difficult as finding the Holy Grail. This is where the Bennetts - Tom and Bob - were kissed by good fortune.

The Bennetts are identical twins - artistic rarities who share a concept of sculpting that has vaulted them into fame across the nation and to much of the world. They are gifted artists who speak as one in the medium of bronze, and whose work sits in the homes and offices of individuals and collectors around the globe.

The brothers began in 1969 by creating distinctive and unusual welded sculpture that consisted of hundreds of thin high-test welding rods. These were cut, shaped and welded to form unique, on-of-a-kind metal sculptures that immediately captured the attention of collectors and the general public alike.

This approval continues to grow and flourish to this day. The Bennett's highly regarded limited-edition bronzes are designed in their studios and then taken through the many stages of production by skilled and talented artisans at the foundry - the sculptures finally emerging as the highly polished, distinctive, bronze sculptures that have become the trademark of the Bennett style.

After hours of painstaking work and attention, each sculpture is given final approval by the artist, signed, numbered and certified as an original limited-edition Bennett creation.
"There are no borders or limits in our art-only those we impose upon ourselves. Our work can move in any direction we choose, and that's why we're constantly creating new designs, looking for new means of expression through our art."

The success of Tom and Bob Bennett is evidenced by the overwhelming acceptance that their sculpture has continued to receive. From the assertive, small figures designed initially as studies, to the stunning and dramatic large pieces that capture the strength and feeling of the artists' concept in gleaming bronze, the appeal of the work is undeniable.

Dedication to the ideals of perfection is uppermost in the artists' minds, especially when it comes to producing a finished bronze that will become an enduring personal artistic statement. Bob and Tom are not satisfied with anything less than the very best and this holds especially true where their sculpture is concerned.

To this end, they personally maintain complete control over all aspects of their art - from the conception of the design in their studios, through the rendering of the piece into bronze, and finally, to the eventual displaying of the sculpture in a gallery.

This total control of their art assures them that the work will maintain the high standards that they insist upon before they sign the Bennett name to it. This dedication and concern are part of the reason for the overwhelming acceptance that their sculpture has attained.

And the acceptance, in turn is part of the reason that Bob and Tom Bennett will continue to create and produce the unique and satisfying art of Bennett Sculpture.
Unfortunately, Bob Bennett passed away in 2003, his work and his vision are being carried on through his twin brother Tom, who continues to sculpt and carry on the vision the two shared together for so many years.
