Having finished his formal training at the Art School of Budapest, Hugo Helder began to work as a restorer in different museums. After many years of practice, he restored old paintings for museums in Western Europe. Upon returning to Hungary, he decided to focus upon a full time career as an artist. His paintings are characterized by meticulous naturalism. The artist embodies all the finest tradition of the old masters and is noted for his fine still-life subjects. His work is regularly exhibited at all major salons and he participates in many exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. Helder currently resides in Budapest, Hungary.
