Dinah studied oil painting and drawing as a young child and was selling commissioned equestrian oil paintings by the time she was iin high school. She continued to study art at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology; and at the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she received a Master of Science degree. More recently, she has studied with Nancy Chaboun, Phil Starke, Chauncey Homer, Hedi Moran and several other notable instructors at the Scottsdale Art School.
Dinah honed her draftsmanship as an illustrator and feels that her training in biology gives her a better understanding of the figure and natural landscapes in her paintings today. Dinah recently left her career as an environmental consultant to begin work as a professional artist. She was a participant in the 2005 Empire 100 Western Art juried exhibition and the 2006 Greenhouse Gallery Salon International juried exhibition.
