Fayrene Parrish
Fayrene is a juried sculpture member of the California Art Club in Pasadena. The club was established in 1906 and is one of America's most prestigeous art organizations. She is the founder of the Central Coast Sculptors Group and organized the first California Sculpture Retreat/Symposium.
As a plein air painter she is a member of the Oil Painters of America, LAPAPA, Laguna Plein Air Painters, and SLOPE San Luis Obispo Painters Enterprise.
A native of California, she began her artistic career as an actress, and segued into the fine art world more than 25 years ago as a sculptor, printmaker and painter with work in private and corporate collections throughout the US, Europe, South America and Australia. She has taught all three mediums in her studio, as invited instructor in the public school system and at workshops in California, the Northwest, and Hawaii. During a stay in the Northwest she was invited juror for fine art events throughout the Puget Sound area -was the originator of "The Arts In Anacortes" program and founder of "Madrona, A Curriculum for the Arts" in Anacortes, Washington.
